FAQs

I bought a ticket but didn’t get a reply
When you buy a ticket, you should immediately receive an email confirming the details. If you don’t, check your ‘other’ or spam folder, and if it’s not there, please let us know.

I didn’t print my ticket and my phone died!
Don’t worry, we’ll have your name on a list and you’ll still get in, as long as you can remember the name the ticket was booked under…

Are there door sales?
Unless the event is sold out, and excluding the food events – there will be door sales and we will have EFTPOS. Door sales are usually marginally more expensive than pre-sales and it helps us plan if you can buy in advance :).

I bought a ticket but have to cancel, can I get a refund?
It depends on the event and other factors, please contact us as soon as possible in advance if you realise you can’t make it and we’ll do our best to work something out.

What is a Concession priced ticket?
This applies to any form of concession you can think of (student, senior, unwaged, etc). We don’t ask for ID or proof and add concession prices to make the events more accessible.

Is Lōemis the same as Matariki / Puanga?
In many ways. All three share similar values and concepts, particularly around transformation and harvest. However Lōemis uses the night of the winter solstice, Maruaroa o Takurua, as its key reference point. We celebrate the winter solstice (which itself doesn’t have any default cultural connections) in a way that compliments and connects with Matariki and Puanga. We also go on many tangents…

Is Lōemis a winter solstice festival?
Essentially. The festival concludes every year with a giant winter solstice offering, although it’s as much about ritual, fantasia, mysticism and embracing the darkness!
