Skål: A Midwinter Feast

Whisky & Wood is transforming itself with this epic Nordic-inspired event, with award-winning Wellington chef Laura Greenfield. Featuring winter harvest foods served on long tables, and a hearty atmosphere with live music by Tristan Carter (fiddle) and John Rae (frame drums, fiddle, percussion).

Tickets include a welcome drink, a sumptuous three-course meal, and live music.

Laura Greenfield is one of New Zealand’s top chefs. Winner of the Outstanding Chef award at the Felix Awards, she has also collected numerous Good Food and Wellington on a Plate Awards. Prior to setting up Field & Green, Laura was head chef at Sotheby’s Restaurant, one of the highest rated dining spots in London.

Live music by Tristan Carter (fiddle) and John Rae (fiddle, frame drums, percussion). Carter and Rae have prodigious musical backgrounds, having performed with groups such as Shades of Shakti, Java Dance, Trick of the Light, Bazurka, and The Troubles. Rae grew up in Scotland and is an accomplished traditional fiddle player, as well as being an outstanding drummer and percussionist. He received the Edinburgh International Jazz Festival Best Group award and was part of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, before moving to New Zealand in 2010, where he has had a significant influence on the music scene.

Seating is together in long tables. If you book separately to friends, please let us know so we can make sure you end up together.

Plating: some dishes will be plated individually, some will be on sharing platters, brought to your tables.
