Berlin-based artist Lou Drago hosts this new deep listening occasion, alongside Wellington artist and gong specialist Erika Grant (Orchestra of Spheres). Get comfortable, lie down if you wish, and be enveloped by a carefully constructed live soundscape that unfolds over the course of 2 hours.

Lou is a Berlin-based artist working with sound, performance, and collective practice. Their work explores altered perceptions of time, sonic healing, and shared listening as a form of connection. They are the creator of Suspending Time and Dissident Vespers, and curator of the experimental music show t r a n s i e n c e on Berlin’s Cashmere Radio. Lou also performs with marum as infinity rug, hosting sonic séances that blend sound, care, and collective experience. A founding member of the XenoEntities Network, they have presented work across Europe and internationally, in venues, festivals, and broadcasts.

In the lead-up to this event, Lou will spend a month in Wellington exploring and recording coastal sounds – as part of an annually occurring residency initiated and funded by the Goethe-Institut New Zealand, and supported by Wellington City Council.
